Entertainment Weekly let it slip that Drea de Matteo’s secretive bat-wielding, although eco-friendly, matriarch Angie Bolen is set to make an “explosive” exit from Desperate Housewives in May. That’s the same time when Torchwood ’s John Barrowman will arrive and make everything clear. Apparently, Barrowman will play Patrick Logan , the head of Angie’s former eco-terrorist group, but we’re already getting ahead of ourselves.

“All the mysterious parts of her past will be revealed,” says Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. He also rebuffs rumors that de Matteo was fired because she didn’t get along with the rest of the housewives, saying “We adore her. She is the sweetest gal in the world.”
